some thoughts i think today, 10.03.2025

except those who have faith, do good, and urge each other to the truth, and urge each other to perseverance.
Writing is about imperfection, then write your mind. I decided to randomly pour things in here cause if I wait for perfection, it won't even start. It also refers to this particular Surah about Time, where we need to realize that time is passing, and we are in grave loss if we waste time to just pass by. We don't have to wait; we need to act. Align with the "So once you have fulfilled ˹your duty˺, strive ˹in devotion˺,".

Before knowing what to write here, I encountered to this quotes: "No matter your age, you'll always wish you had started younger. But today is the youngest you'll ever be." This urged me to just start to write anything. That's the exact meaning of we can't wait for perfection, it has to be built towards it. This also refers to the current mind-consuming state of the world. I was raised in a family full of idealistic values, mostly anchoring to honesty and helping others as a priority. This is also what led me to becoming the person I am today, continuing to strive in development work and putting my heart and mind to the world's betterment. But it just seems too heavy in these recent times. A lot of people can mention how chaotic and foolish the current system is. Centered around mainstream economist as the highest priest in modern world, said Kummel. Thinking about this, I tried to find the relevant guidance to enable me to put my thoughts

1. Al Asr : 3, do good, urge each other to truth, and perseverance.
Like I told you before, I was raised in a thankfully good family, led by a great father, nurtured by a strong mother with firm values of maintaining a truthful life and to always do good, prioritising to be useful for other people. It wasn't inherited perfectly nor instantly; I need to experience a lot of things in order to understand what kind of values they tried to deliver. I encountered many failures, arrogance, and regrets. That's what it takes to be able to learn better and embed the values.

In finding what is true, the journey is never simple. Each of us sees reality through our own eyes, that carries our own kind of reality. Mine can be a blue kind of world, and yours can be greener. Thus, finding truth is so hard; sometimes, it's just not that obvious. Logics are also not always helpful cause we can have different kinds of logic that make sense. We can't rely solely on cognitive; emotional intelligence also plays a big role in it.

With the chaos and disorder we face in life, it is where being resourceful is a necessity. Say we want to make improvements in our life; without deep understanding, we can just follow the growth mindset of wealth, GDP growth, and profit-oriented. This is rooted in the attempt to be secure, in economic. That is what survivability is about. But we have tons of other things as a prerequisite condition to fulfill those growth, such as energy to power those wealth. In finding the truest true, I would argue and agree to include that wealth isn't the true aim, but we are just blinded to the idea of having to be secure, where it mainly can be achieved from wealth. But, knowing there are tons of consequences resulting from the attempt to be secure, I'd doubt the mainstream narrative of fulfilling wealth. It's not the true pathway to follow. Thus, understanding other factors is necessary, which is why thinking and being resourceful in the thought process are necessary. Such as including the understanding of entropy in finding the truth of what to explore and fix within the system. As Kummel said, " Entropy is the physical measure of disorder. Without a proper understanding of energy and entropy in the economy, all efforts to achieve sustainability will fail." Anyway, this might jump around. But I hope you understand what I mean.

Urging each other to the truth is to urge us to be smarter and sharper in conducting the life. While doing so, we have to understand it's a long process of finding the truth. Thus, we have to be perseverant.

Perseverant because,
a. Qiyamah Sughra, partial and gradual small scale of destruction happening in daily life are very likely to be encountered by each individual signals us to think of adaptive capacity. Including the destruction of truth. The more we drifted apart with honesty and good intention, the farther the truth will be.
c. There's just so much on my mind in this mad, fast-paced, chaotic world. I have to study even harder, faster, and better.

2. Al Inshirah : 7, So once you have fulfilled ˹your duty˺, strive ˹in devotion˺,

In being perseverant, we need to continue doing. Once we've finished one step, carry on, keep on walking with devotion and determination

That's all for tonight. I never thought I'd write this much tho.

Forever, by your side
